Welcome to Gongarola.com
This website offers a curated selection of my published works. While the Spanish version presents my complete bibliography, the English site focuses exclusively on the translations I have made available in English.
Here you will find both annotated and unannotated editions of the great Spanish mystics of the Golden Age, carefully translated into contemporary English. These works include Saint Teresa of Ávila, Saint John of the Cross and Miguel de Molinos, presented in versions that respect the depth and beauty of the originals while making them accessible to today’s readers. The annotated editions feature extensive commentary and notes that explore the historical, cultural, and spiritual context of the texts.
You can also download generous excerpts of these works and find details on the formats available—eBook, audiobook, paperback, and hardcover.
About Me
I was born in Bilbao, Spain, on January 10, 1958. Although philosophy has always been my true vocation, my academic background includes engineering, philology, and nautical sciences.
Since my youth, I have deeply explored various systems of thought and spirituality. Rooted in my Christian heritage, my journey has led me through the disciplines of yoga, transpersonal psychology—under the guidance of my teacher Antonio Blay—and ultimately to the non-dual teachings of Advaita.
In 2003, I encountered A Course in Miracles, a discovery that marked a profound turning point in my life. In 2010, I left my position as CEO and chairman of the board of my engineering company to devote myself entirely to the study, teaching, and translation of a new edition of this transformative text.
Over the past decade, I have combined my passion for teaching with the translation and editing of spiritual and philosophical works. I have taught Spanish online to students of all ages and backgrounds, and I continue to dedicate myself to the publication of texts that inspire reflection and inner growth.
